Our network was conceived in 1994 by local people who realized there was a need for improvement of health care services in Greene County. After obtaining a small grant from the NYS Office of Rural Health to begin formation, our non-profit organization was incorporated in 1996.
Since then, the Greene County Rural Health Network has enriched Greene County’s health care community by distributing over $3.5 million in grants to projects that further its mission to improve the health of Greene County residents. Our goal is to help start needed services and then help them become self-sufficient.
The Network has brought more than 25 important health care services and programs to our community since our inception. Go to “What We Are doing to Improve Your Health” (click here) for more information.
